Rie Makino graduated MA in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Related Products course at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham City University. Rie was born and grew up in Japan. Working with leathers and metals. Rie takes inspirations from Japanese aesthetics and her culture. Working at the jeweller bench has allowed Rie to visualise her creations. Her objective is to continue to develop her style whilst engaging in for her training and exploring new materials.
